
The Socio-Economic Youth Empowerment Initiative (SEYP) had a transformative year in 2025, marked by strategic partnerships and impactful programs. Here’s a snapshot of our achievements:
Strengthening Mental Health & Psychosocial Support
– Trained staff in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS)
– Supported 13 female survivors in safe houses/shelters with mental health training
– Empowered 7 female returnees with MHPSS training
Advancing Child Protection & Advocacy
– Participated in World Children’s Day Commemoration, advocating for child empowerment and protection
– Amplified key messages on child abuse and trafficking prevention
Economic Empowerment & Skills Development
– Conducted vocational skills training for 55 returnees in various trades
– Implemented SIYB and vocational skills training for 50 participants, enhancing entrepreneurship and employability skills
Women’s Empowerment & Financial Literacy
– Provided financial literacy training for market women and persons with disabilities
– Collaborated with Edo State Ministry of Women Affairs and GIZ SEDIN to promote financial inclusion
Menstrual Health & Youth Engagement
– Partnered with organizations to promote menstrual health awareness and reusable pad initiatives
– Trained students on making reusable sanitary pads
Strategic Partnerships & Institutional Strengthening
– Implemented ICSS trainings, reaching over 70 participants
– Collaborated with government institutions, international organizations, and community stakeholders
Empowering Survivors of Human Trafficking
– Launched Resilience Fund Project, supporting at-risk female survivors
– Provided internships, business support, and media awareness campaigns
Shelter Services & Humanitarian Support
– Provided shelter, feeding, and psychosocial support to vulnerable individuals
– Received support from partners, including IOM, Gamesville Foundation, and Nigerian Nurses Association of Georgia
Disability Inclusion & National Engagement
– Participated in the First-Ever Disability Summit, reinforcing commitment to inclusive development
